According to said spokesperson, the new mom was admitted to the hospital where she stayed overnight, but both her and her daughter were doing perfectly fine. Although there aren't any reports as to how far along the woman was, it's Air Canada policy to allow woman up to and including their 36th week of pregnancy to travel.

A man in the Netherlands who tried selling one of his kidneys on a site similar to Craigslist had his case dismissed on Friday. The judge said the 40-year-old should do 60 hours community service for advertising his kidney for nearly $68,000 on Marktplaats, the Dutch website Nos reports.The man’s lawyer claimed he had only been interested in finding out what sort of reaction he would get.Well, Marktplaats noticed the odd item for sale and promptly notified the cops.The judge said he believed the man, ruling that advertising the sale of a kidney does not prove one actually planned to sell it.The sale of organs is banned in the Netherlands.

According to arrest affidavits, Joey Mudd, 34, admitted to smoking pot with her children on five occasions, and referred to the provision of the drug “as a form of a ‘bargaining tool.’”Charged with two counts of child abuse, Mudd was released from the Pinellas County jail early this morning after posting $5000 bond. Woman fights legal battle to get pregnant with her own grandchild

LONDON, May 8 (UPI) -- A U.S. woman is waging a court battle to gain custody of her late daughter's eggs from Britain so she can become pregnant with her own grandchild. The 59-year-old woman, identified only as Mrs. M, is asking Justice Duncan Ouseley to overturn a 2014 ruling from the British Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority's statutory approvals committee, which last year refused to allow the woman to have her daughter's eggs taken out of storage. Mrs. M's daughter had her eggs frozen at IVF Hammersmith in London after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2008, but the HFEA said she did not fill out a document detailing her wishes for the eggs prior to her death in 2011. The High Court heard the mother is seeking to have the eggs shipped to New York, where a fertility clinic has agreed to help her have the eggs fertilized by a sperm donor and implanted in her womb. The court heard Mrs. M and her husband requested anonymity to protect the privacy of "an as yet unborn child." The couple said their daughter would be "devastated" to learn her eggs could not be used. "I have never heard of a surrogacy case involving a mother and her dead daughter's eggs," said fertility expert Dr. Mohammed Taranissi of the ARGC clinic in London. "It's fair to say that this may be a world first."

MUMBAI, May 21 (UPI) --Wonder if they had to tip? A Mumbai-based pizzeria recently used an unmanned drone to beat the traffic and deliver a pie to a customer who was about a mile away from the restaurant.  Francesco's Pizzeria in Mumbai used a four-rotor



drone to make a pizza delivery to a high-rise building, reportedly the first time that a drone has ever been used for that purpose. "All of us had read about (global e-commerce giant) Amazon's plans of using drones. We successfully carried out a test-delivery by sending a pizza to a customer located 1.5 km away from our outlet on May 11," Francesco's Pizzeria chief executive Mikhel Rajani told the Times of India.  Even though the delivery was only a test, Rajani indicated that using drones could be a viable option for his eatery and that it could help with saving time and money. "What we have done now will be common place in the next four-five years," he said.

MAY 19--A Tennessee man was arrested Friday night after he walked into a bar, dropped his pants and underwear, and attempted to have sex with an ATM machine, police report. Lonnie Hutton, 49, was collared at The Boro Bar and Grill, the Murfreesboro watering hole where he allegedly sought to make a 9 PM deposit. According to a Murfreesboro Police Department report, an officer was dispatched to the bar, where a witness said that Hutton walked to the ATM and “pulled down his pants and underwear exposing his genitals.” Officer M. Rickard added, “Mr. Hutton then attempted to have sexual intercourse with the ATM.”

After his encounter with the ATM, Hutton “then began to walk ‘nude’ around the bar thrusting his hips in the air,” Rickard reported.Hutton was subsequently escorted from the bar and “told to sit at a wooden picnic table.” But once outside the bar, Hutton allegedly “again exposed himself again and engaged in sexual intercourse with the wooden picnic table.”Seen in the above mug shot, Hutton was booked into the county jail on a public intoxication charge. March. 24 (UPI) -- German customs officials discovered 14 cocaine-filled condoms in a package marked for delivery to the Vatican. The condoms contained 340 grams of liquid cocaine, valued at around $55,000. The parcel was addressed to the main postal center at the Vatican and was mailed from somewhere in South America. After German officials found out what was in the package, they attempted to set up a sting operation with the help of Vatican police to catch the intended recipient, but no one ever claimed the drug-filled piece of mail. According to the Independent, Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi confirmed that German authorities and the Vatican police had attempted to entrap the recipient. Authorities believe that the person may have been tipped off about the sting.

British school bans red ink for teachers

Teachers at a British school are no longer allowed to use their dreaded red pens to mark students' work. Under a new grading policy at Mounts Bay Academy in Cornwall, teachers must mark and write feedback in green, while students must reply in purple. "Students make more progress if it is a dialogue and the new system is designed to help that," Headteacher Sara Davey told the Cornishman newspaper. "A lot of primary schools are already using a similar system amazingly well and I think it was felt that red ink was a very negative colour." The Campaign for Real Education, which says it fights for "higher standards and more parental choice in state education," has taken a stand against the policy. "The problem with using a colour like green or blue is that it's not clear," chair Chris McGovern said. Vending machines selling crack cocaine pipes for 25 cents (about 14 pence) have been erected in Vancouver, Canada. Sinkhole swallows eight cars

A sinkhole with great taste swallowed eight Corvettes on display at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. The 40-ft.-wide, 30-ft.-deep sinkhole opened at about 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, the museum said in a statement. Two of the Corvettes — a 1993 Zr-1 Spyder and the 2009 Zr1 Blue Devil — were on loan from General Motors. The museum owned the other six: a 1962 black Corvette, a 1994 PPG pace car, a 1992 White 1 Millionth, a 1993 ruby red 40th anniversary car, a 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 and a 2009 white 1.5 millionth. Museum staff said no one was in the museum at the time and there were no injuries. A structural engineer is on site to assess the damage to the area of the museum called the Skydome, which is a separate building from the main museum. Montana resident Shaela Evenson was a teacher at Butte Central Grade School, instructing sixth through eighth grade students in literature and physical education for nearly a decade. However, the Helena Diocese, which oversees the Catholic school, dismissed her last month. Why? Because, as The Montana Standard reports, Ms. Evenson is pregnant but not married.

Patrick Haggarty, Superintendent of Schools for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena, told the Standard, “Shaela made a willful decision to violate the terms of her contract. This happened as a result of her decision to violate the terms of her employment contract, and in so doing she’s disqualified from teaching at a Catholic school. It’s a sensitive issue and it’s unfortunate all around.”

Ms. Evenson isn’t going to take the firing without a fight. KXLF Channel 4 News spoke with an attorney the teacher has hired, Cincinnati-based Brian Butler. SARNIA, Ont. — A man who slipped into a dark bedroom, pretending to be his employee to sleep with his girlfriend was acquitted of sex assault Thursday in a bizarre case.Court heard the men had likely come up with the rouse in a bar earlier in the evening in June 2012.

The woman testified that only when the boyfriend called her from where he was listening outside the bedroom door, her cellphone casting a pale light across the bedroom, did she realize who she was having sex with. Under cross-examination defence lawyer James Guggisberg had suggested to the woman it was preposterous that she did not realize the man was not her boyfriend from the start.

The boyfriend, who is taller, heavier and covered with tattoos, testified that he is not circumcised, unlike his now-ex-boss, and that he had a goatee at the time, while the other man was clean-shaven. She denied she was lying. She told the court the man had closed the door and only told her: “it’s me” before they started having sex, indicating he intended to deceive the woman, said assistant Crown attorney Nila Mulpuru. A new 24-hour challenge — “Canadian version,” Mark Lucas, its creator, calls it — has Canucks filming themselves performing stunts outside in the snow in their underwear. Followed by a beer. When Lucas, 34, of Thorold, Ont., created the 24-Hour Challenge Facebook page with some friends a week ago, he had no idea how quickly its popularity would grow.

Some of the posted videos include nominees walking a dog, shovelling a driveway and even pumping gas, all wearing only their underwear. After celebrating the completion of the stunt by chugging a beer, participants must nominate three other people to do their own stunt, giving them 24 hours to complete a challenge and post a video.

At least one health unit is warning the challenge sends a bad message and could be dangerous for people with pre-existing health conditions. “We hate to be killjoys, but we have to say - this is not a good thing,” said Bill Hunter, Niagara Region manager of environmental health. “(It) only takes a drop of one or two degrees in body temperature to cause complications. “Lucas said testing the temperature limits of the human body was never the intention. “Doing a snow angel for 10 seconds is good enough for me.”

As is the custom with the online craze, she then speaks to camera to nominate three more of her friends to down a pint in the most imaginative way possible. Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, she said: "I just found an aisle and tried to drink it before security came over." "People were just looking at me, like 'what on earth are you doing?' "I didn't want to do it at first but then I thought, I should just have fun." The NekNominate craze - thought to have originated in Australia - has come in for heavy criticism from alcohol awareness charities for promoting dangerous levels of binge drinking. It has already been linked to the deaths of two young men in Ireland, and people appear to be striving to find increasingly extreme ways of completing the challenge. But Rebecca dismissed those criticisms. She said: "Everyone will go as far as they want to go, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything - people don't even have to drink alcohol if they don't want to. "It's like anything in life; you have to be responsible and not stupid."
