Why a man tries to sell himself for $1.50 on eBay
A British man desperate for work tried to sell himself on eBay for about $1.50 but received no bids. "Some wear to moving parts, surface finish worn," is how the seller, identified by the Daily Mail as Steve Sewell of Cumbria, northern England, described
himself in his listing. Along with a diploma in electrical and electronic engineering, he is a qualified IT technician and has worked as a mechanic, the ad says. He also has "excellent interpersonal skills, infinite patience and an indestructible sense of humour." The unemployed 58-year-old in "used" condition urged employers to "grab this bargain.
Man busted for sex with pool float... again
A 34-year-old man from Ohio has been charged with public indecency for the second time in two years after "having sexual relations with a public pool float." Edwin Tobergta was indicted with a felony Wednesday in connection with the June incident, which happened outside his home in Hamilton, Ohio. Tobergta "stepped out his back door naked and was having sexual relations with a pool float," the Hamilton Police Department police report said. The alleged incident occurred in front a group of children, all under age 10, that saw his genitals and actions with the float in broad daylight. Tobergta is being held in a local jail rather than paying a $25,000 public indecency charge. He was arrested in 2011 after he was reported to be having sex with a pink blow-up pool raft in an alley, his pants around his ankles. His felony indictment shows that Tobergta has been convicted on at least three public indecency charges
25 years for woman who hid gun in vagina
An Oklahoma meth dealer who hid her loaded gun in her vagina when she was arrested has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Christie Dawn Harris, 28, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, gun possession, and bringing contraband into jail, reports The Smoking Gun, a site that posts court and police documents. She'd already been convicted of a long list of felony charges. Upon arresting Harris, officer Kathy Unbewust reported: "I observed at that time a wooden and metal item sticking out from her vagina area."
Unbewust "pulled the item from her vagina, and found it to be a 5 shot revolver with rounds in the chamber." She was sentenced to 25 years for each charge to be served concurrently, court documents show.
Snake bites man's penis while he's on the toilet
A snake reared up and bit a man’s penis while he was sitting on a toilet, paramedics in Israel have said. Fortunately, it was non-venomous and the unnamed 35-year-old was able to joke about the attack afterwards. The man, from northern Israel, told emergency staff at Rambam Medical Centre in Haifa he noticed the snake was attacking him after he felt burning around his penis. He said he then looked down and saw a small serpent. Paramedics said the victim was in good spirits despite the rather uncomfortable encounter but stressed although the snake was not poisonous, the man would still have suffered bite marks.
‘This is the first time I’ve seen a snake bite like this,’ a medic said. ‘Luckily, all tests seem fine and the man is feeling well.’The injured man can count himself lucky he wasn’t struck by a more dangerous breed of snake that is indigenous to the area.If he had been bitten by the poisonous horned desert viper or desert cobra then things could have been much worse.
How doctor diagnosis 'Ghetto booty' for woman's back pain?
Terry Ragland has filed a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Health after she said her doctor gave her an insulting diagnosis for her back pain. Ragland, 55, says that when she went to see Dr. Timothy Sweo in April, “He said ‘I know what the problem is. It’s ghetto booty.'Ragland said she had been to that doctor's office several times and had good experiences, but this was her first time seeing Sweo. “I think I blacked out after he said ghetto booty. I think my mind was just stuck on the phrase because I couldn’t believe he said that,” said Ragland.
Sweo was sent for X-rays after she described her pain. “It’s one of those things where my hip seems to slip, like it’s slipping out of place a little bit. It’s painful when you get up to go walk it kind of slips, you know,” Raglan said. When the X-rays came back, Sweo gave his diagnosis.
After Ragland complained to an office manager, she received a letter from Sweo, in which he wrote, "I was trying to take a technical conversation regarding your lower back and make it less technical."“It says to me that he doubts what type of intellect I have, how intelligent I am to be able to understand what he conveys to me in a medical term,” said Ragland.The medical term for a curve in her spine is "lumbar lordosis," and Sweo's comments since the story came out only seem to be making things worse. "What I was trying to explain to that patient is that she has lumbar lordosis, which is a fancy name for the curve of the lower spine that makes the buttocks protrude more. In trying to explain that I said that she had ghetto booty and she didn’t like that apparently. ...
I think I do understand why her feelings were hurt but I don’t understand what’s offensive about it." "It’s not endearing. It’s not loving. It’s not a compliment," Ragland said. "It’s wrong in every aspect and it’s very demeaning."
