American prankster Mike King hatched a plan to pop the question when his girlfriend least expected it - while she was volunteering feeding the homeless. The video begins with Mike shaving his head before donning his 'homeless costume' of a wig, mask and dark glasses, designed to fool his other half Katie Barabas even at close quarters. In full tramp mode Mike wanders up to Katie and tells her he thinks she's cute before presenting her with a fake ring.

 Katie is understandably taken aback, but nowhere near as much as she is when the full scale of the surprise is revealed. Mike removes his disguise, pulls out a real ring and drops down to one knee asking her: "What about now?" sending Katie into hysterics. Luckily for him she said yes. Since then he has shared the video online where it has gone viral, with romantics across the globe enjoying the unorthodox and unforgettable proposal

Walmart glitch gives shoppers get treadmills for $33.16

Shoppers looking for a bargain got some big ones, if only temporarily, at Walmart.com Wednesday morning. A technical glitch on the Wal-Mart Stores Inc U.S. website offered some items at a fraction of their actual retail price. Treadmills, which normally cost hundreds of dollars, were priced at $33.16. LCD computer monitors were offered for $9.

Ravi Jariwala, a spokesman for Walmart.com, said in the late afternoon that the problem had been fixed and that the mistakenly priced orders would not be honored. "Given the wide discrepancy in pricing, we are notifying customers who ordered these items that their orders have been canceled and that they'll be refunded in full," Jariwala said in an e-mail. Walmart.com will also offer those shoppers a $10 gift card. The company did not say how many orders were placed at the low prices. Most of the affected products were electronics, said Jariwala, adding that the website was not available at times on Wednesday while repairs were made. The glitch comes at the start of what analysts say will be a particularly competitive holiday season. Wal-Mart Stores Inc kicked off its online holiday-season deals on November 1, a month earlier than usual. The earlier deals and bigger incentives come after data firm ShopperTrak forecast the slowest holiday sales growth since 2009."This is particularly disappointing since Wal-Mart has been investing aggressively in e-commerce in the last two years," said Brian Sozzi, CEO & Chief Equities Strategist at Belus Capital Advisors.

Fraternity Pledge Loses Testicle in Hazing Ritual

NOVEMBER 7--Ohio cops are investigating a college fraternity hazing incident that left a 19-year-old pledge short one testicle, records show. Three Wilmington College students seeking induction into Gamma Phi Gamma were subjected last week to a battering in the fraternity house, according to search warrant affidavits prepared by police. As detailed by investigators, the blindfolded pledges were brought to the basement of the fraternity (which is known as “Gobbler House”), where about 20 frat members “were either watching or participating in the pledging.” The basement of the house (seen at right) contained about three inches of water and the pledges were ordered to “lie on the floor and imitate a swimming action.” They were then directed to “strip completely nude except for the blindfold” and had “a substance described as being like ‘Icy Hot’ applied to their nipples, back, buttocks and scrotum.”

After having limburger cheese stuffed in their mouths, the pledges were each given a “ball of stuffing” and ordered to “simulate having sexual intercourse with it.” Specifically, the trio was told to “fuck the sheep.”The pledges were then hit with “towels and shirts that had the ends balled up in knots” or which had “items tied inside them to inflict pain.” Pledge Tyler Lawrence, 19, was struck in the testicles with “a towel fashioned as a weapon,” according to an affidavit sworn by Wilmington Police Department Detective Brian Kratzer.

Fugitive caught at Win a Wedding competition

A Welsh man who had been on the lam for more than six years was caught by police after he appeared in a newspaper competition to win a wedding. In 2006, Vincent Condron was on probation after being convicted of burglary and shoplifting. When he didn't appear in court, a warrant was issued in February 2007. In June, Condron was in a photograph with his fiancee, Rebecca Young, that was published as part of a Win a Wedding competition in the South Wales Echo newspaper, WalesOnline.co.uk reports. Police officers recognized him and arrested him.

Court heard Condron had fled to Ireland in 2007, but met his fiancee on a trip back to see family in Cardiff in 2011. The newspaper reports Condron walked away a free man because of his changed lifestyle. He is no longer a heroin addict, attended college and wants to set up a holistic medicine practice in Cardiff.
