Why Miss Nina Davuliri won Miss America and weird reactions?

She is beautiful

She did nice Bollywood fusion dance

She has no Tattoos

She has no camouflage gear and army boots.

She is american born

Nina Davuluri has just been crowned Miss America, at a ceremony in Atlantic City. The 24-year-old New Yorker won the title despite awkwardly missing her cue earlier in the evening. When host Lara Spencer called her name for the talent section of the competition, Davuluri distractedly applauded for herself. "Next up for talent is Miss New York," Spencer prompted. Davuluri continued applauding, so another contestant hopped up and ran forward instead.

Advertisement Spencer again declared, "Miss New York, you are up... Miss New York, you are up!"She managed to compose herself and went on to perform a Bollywood fusion dance. Davuluri is the first winner of Indian descent. She is also the second consecutive contestant from New York to win the pageant. She succeeds another Miss New York, Mallory Hagan, whose tenure was cut short when the pageant moved back to Atlantic City after a six-year stint in Las Vegas, where winners were chosen in January. After the

traditional frolic in the Atlantic City surf, Davuluri will head to the scene of a devastating boardwalk fire in Seaside Park and Seaside Heights on Monday.

The pageant had pitted 53 contestants — one from each state, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands — in swimsuit, evening gown, talent and interview competitions. Much attention had been given to Miss Kansas, Theresa Vail, who is believed to be the first Miss America contestant to openly display tattoos. She has the Serenity Prayer on her rib cage and a military insignia on the back of a shoulder
While other contestants wore glamorous costumes and elaborately decorated footwear during Saturday night's “show-us-your-shoes” parade on the Boardwalk, Vail wore camouflage gear and army boots.

Reactions………..
Racism is alive and well in this country. Miss Davuliri is beautiful, talented, and intelligent, and she IS an American. As for Miss Kansas, a lot of people aren’t ready for a Miss America with tattoos. Plus her so-called operatic song was a screechy mess.

After 24-year-old Nina Davuluri, the first woman of Indian descent to win the contest,  was crowned, ignorance flooded social media like it was Nancy Creek. “Miss America? You mean Miss 7-11,” wrote @JPLman95 on Twitter.
“If you’re Miss America you should have to be one,” wrote someone else, according to CNN.
“9/11 was 4 days ago and she gets miss America?” tweeted @LukeBrasili.
“The liberal Miss America judges won’t say this – but Miss Kansas lost because she actually represented American values,” said @toddstarnes.
“Miss America right now or miss Al Qaeda?” tweeted Shannon McCann.
Davuluri, the second consecutive New York resident to win the contest, represents American values too.
“I have to rise above [racism],” she said. “I always viewed myself as first and foremost American.”
An example of how stupid @LukeBrasili can be. (Twitter.com)
Personally, I was rooting for Miss Georgia. She has a great last name.
But let’s get back to some of these folks that were tweeting. Looking at their other tweets may reveal more about their character.
Here are some collected witticisms of JPLman95, who appears to be a Marine from North Carolina.
“Lost a follower… Well they wasn’t good enough to read my tweets anyhow.”
“If you don’t have at least one #BassPro hat you are not a man.”
“Don’t touch my tools, Camaro or John Deere I value them more then I value 98% of humanity.”
“Cows are amazing animals.”

Then he appears to sober up … “Ok I will say I think Nina Davuluri aka Miss America is beautiful.”
I am impressed he spelled her name right.

Now, let’s visit the oracle known as Todd Starnes, a “host of Fox News & Commentary … a writer of books and lover of sweet tea.”
“Miss Kansas, a gun-toting, deer-hunting, military veteran was America’s choice – but not the liberal Miss America judges’ choice.”
“Apparently the liberal Miss America Pageant judges weren’t ready for a patriotic, gun-toting, deer-hunting Miss America.”

JPLman95 and friends looking for intelligent women they will never find. (Twitter.com)
“Miss Kansas is singing opera – she should’ve fired off a few rounds at the end.”
“Miss Kansas knows how to field dress a deer and has a great recipe for squirrel stew.”
OK, it is clear Starnes has a thing for Miss Kansas, guns and survivalist menu items.

Finally, let’s peer into the timeline of Luke Brasili, a fan of Alabama football:
“Americans be like ‘we will always remember 9/11′ and miss America goes to…. [and he posts a pic of a Taliban fighter]”
“I’m pissed, It’s miss AMERICA. Not miss Pakistan or Miss china.”
“Hopefully my car is totaled.”
“This will either be the best, or the worst week of my life.”
I’m thinking it may be the worst. Or at least I hope so.

Airline covers logo on plane after malfunction

Airline covers logo on plane after malfunction
Thai Airways resorted to an unusual crisis management strategy after one of their planes suffered a landing-gear mishap in which 14 passengers were injured. Airline officials decided to cover one of their plane's logos with black paint after Flight TG679 veered off the runway at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday because of a landing gear malfunction. The flight originated in Guangzhou, China, with 288 passengers and 14 crew members. After the incident, the airline deployed a crew to "de-identify" the Thai Airways logo on the fuselage. Reporters were told that was a "crisis communication rule" at the global Star Alliance, to protect the images of the airline and other alliance members.

Body Paint Doesn't Count as Clothing for Servers

City Could Force Skimpy Redneck Servers to Cover Up
Body paint and pasties will no longer be considered suitable attire for servers at the Forth Worth location of a racy restaurant chain about to star in its own reality TV series. The Forth Worth City Council took a closer look at what constitutes nudity in response to increased scrutiny of the scantily clad servers at Redneck Heaven, a local chain that caters mostly to men.The barely-there outfits worn by waitresses during the restaurant's "Anything But Clothes" promotion do not count as clothing under the new language approved by the council, meaning any future events featuring such wardrobes would subject the restaurant to additional regulations as a sexually oriented businesses. The decision comes one month before "Big Tips Texas," a reality show about the chain, is set to premiere on MTV. Complaints about the promotions at another location had already prompted officials in Lewisville, where the show is based, to take a similar step. The owner of Redneck Heaven, William Tinker, said ahead of Tuesday's vote that he doesn’t understand what the fuss is about.

U.K. firm sorry for making jobseekers dance at interview

LONDON - British electronics retailer Currys issued an apology on Thursday after admitting that interviewees trying to earn a job as a sales assistant at one of its stores had been made to dance. The jobseekers, who were attending a group interview at a Currys Megastore in Cardiff, had to perform dance routines during team building exercises which the firm said did not form part of its formal procedures. "I think everyone initially thought it was a joke. But they were serious," Alan Bacon, one of those at the selection day, told the BBC. "I ended up dancing to 'Around the World' by (French electronic music act) Daft Punk, doing rubbish robotics in my suit in front of a group of strangers. Spray Promises to Take the Stink Out Of Public Pooping

There's no other way to say this: When it comes to events involving the toilet, there's a possibility things might get stinky. Odor-eliminating product, PooPourri, playfully reminds us of this with a tongue-in-cheek ad directed by Joel Ackerman. Click play to see the commercial for (shockingly real) odor products that have a "better Amazon rating than the iPhone 5" and a variety of scents to choose from, including instant classics like Sh*ttin' Pretty, Party Pooper, Poo-Tonium and more. So, is PooPourri Girl's Bethany Woodruff a possible contender to take over Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa's ad campaign throne? We'll just have to sit and think on it for a bit. (And definitely flush when we're done.)

Why moose vandalizes Norwegian school

OSLO - An angry moose, probably upset by its own reflection, smashed through the glass doors of a Norwegian school on the weekend. When students at the Risil secondary school in Vestby, southeast of Oslo, found broken glass on Monday morning, security cameras showed the perpetrator was not a delinquent teenager. "The janitor looked through the surveillance tape, hoping to identify the thug who did this, but was shocked when he saw that the damage was done by a moose and her two calves," school principal Solveig Eid told Reuters. Eid believes the moose must have seen her own reflection in the glass door and charged towards it. A Norwegian moose can be as tall as two metres (6 ft) and weigh as much as 400 kg (880 lb).

Wow-Robber apologizes and returns money plus interest -- 11 years later

A former crook wrote to his robbery victims apologizing and repaying what he'd stolen 11 years earlier. The owners of Interasian Market and Deli in Nashville, Tenn., received the hand-delivered letter last week, owner Somboon Wu told local TV station WMSV. The robber's handwritten letter said he was a drug addict who stole a six-pack of beer and $300 from the store. Also included with the letter was $400. "I do not use drugs anymore, and I feel I must make amends to the people I have hurt in the past," the letter stated. "I hope you will accept this money and find forgiveness. Peace be with you, Anonymous." Wu, whose father was working during the robbery, told WMSV the man must be someone with a good heart who was in a bad situation. "We just want to let him know, if he's watching, wherever life takes you, we forgive you for what you did," said Wu.

Gynecologist sued after surgery leaves woman with a "too tight" vagina

A Quebec City couple is suing a gynecologist for $225,000, claiming post-delivery surgery left the woman's vagina too tight to have sex. The woman was admitted to CHUL hospital in September 2010 and gave birth to a boy. The suit says Dr. Guy Bolduc had performed an episiotomy, a common procedure in which an incision is made below the vagina to facilitate delivery. The doctor noted an internal vaginal tear after the baby was born, and performed surgery to repair the problem, says the suit. He then advised his patient to avoid sex for six weeks.

How Charlie Rose save marriage problems by sleeping with your husband

Passion wagon: Charlotte promises an injection of spice
KIND and easy to confide in, Charlie Rose offers to help solve your marriage problems – sometimes by sleeping with your husband. The mum-of-two is the picture of respectability as she packs off her teenage children to school and leaves her smart three-bedroom home for a day at the office. But a few miles away the 32-year-old enters another world. Her “office” is a one-bedroom flat in upmarket Exeter and her job is sex. She charges couples £200 a time to put the passion back into their love lives and is even willing to show them how it’s done. Charlie reckons her hands-on sex therapy courses have rekindled the dwindling sex drives of dozens of unhappy couples. She said: “I really wanted to help couples put the spice back into their sex lives. Many of them are in happy marriages but the passion has gone.

“When a couple arrives I put them at ease by offering them a drink and getting them to talk in the lounge about their days. “I get them to open up about the problems in their sex lives in a non-confrontational way. I’ve realised most of the issues are due to a lack of communication. “After half an hour, I lead them into the bedroom where they undress and shower together.

Charlotte Rose
“The couple will then lie down on a comfortable rug on the floor to work on their problem area while I watch. “I encourage them to talk to each other and get involved myself to demonstrate techniques on men and women. “In the past I have had full sex with husbands in front of their wives and demonstrated oral sex on men and women – but only if they ask me to.”“Sometimes I only see a couple once but I have many who come back for repeat sessions.“I prefer to see couples so the wives don’t get jealous but I can reassure all women, I have no emotional attachment to these men. For me it is just work.”One 47-year-old woman from Devon described how she and her husband, aged 49, turned to Charlie for help.

She feared he would leave her unless things improved in the bedroom so, after finding Charlie on the internet and a half-hour phone call, she fixed up a three-hour sex training session.

She said: “It was a magical experience, one of the best decisions of my life. Oral sex in the marriage has never been good but Charlie showed us techniques we have taken on board.“I’ve honestly never felt so in love and it’s almost like we’re a new couple again. We’re more open and honest with each other and not as prudish as before.” This approach to couples sex is novel in the UK but far more common in the US. And Charlie has attracted clients from all over southern England and from all walks of life – including builders, farmers, solicitors and police officers. She even offers a kissing course. She said: “I’ve realised you get two types of people, they’re either froggers or swordsmen. The swordsmen want to battle with your tongue and the froggers want to lick half your face off.

“There’s definitely etiquette to kissing and, normally, when somebody comes to me I’ll tell them to stop and relax their mouth. By the end of the session they always say, ‘That’s fantastic, it’s really sexy.’ “All of this is about refreshing people. It’s like being a plumber, every year that plumber needs to go on a refresher course to learn about new models. It’s the same as relationships.” Charlie, who has slept with nearly 1,000 men, also works as sex surrogate to help people with physically disabilities and impotency issues make love. Charlie was working as a £100-an-hour escort when she realised there was a need to teach or remind couples about the joys of sex. She said: “Most of my clients were in happy marriages but said they had stopped having sex. As an escort it wasn’t really my place to ask why. “But I couldn’t stop thinking about it and how I wanted to help fix their marriages.

“I was already offering a kind of counselling service to these men and realised I could offer a proper service that would benefit the husbands and their wives.”She said: “I’m not doing it just for the money. It’s what I enjoy most, people and sex.”Charlie, who is 5ft 10in, was just 17 when she first got involved in the sex trade after agreeing to take part in photoshoot – which turned out to be dominatrix themed. She laughed: “I was a bit naive. I immediately said, ‘Yeah, I’m up for that,’ and when I went for the meeting he showed me this huge suitcase of leather. I didn’t have a problem with it and thought I’d have a go. “My first shoot was about eight hours’ work and I got £400, which was a lot of money back then.”During our interview Charlie proudly shows us the picture from her first shoot in which she is dressed head-to-toe in leather, carrying a whip and riding a tractor on a farm. Other shots show her in scanty outfits and high heels standing on top of stark-naked men.

“The men would moan and I’d constantly apologise. Eventually the photographer pulled me to one side and said, ‘Look, you can’t say sorry, they’re not being paid for it. They’re here because they enjoy it and they want to be here.’”

From there Charlie started charging men £150 a time for private domination sessions. She said: “It was easy money. I’d make men stand in a corner naked and whip them if they turned around. I used it as way of getting out my anger but got bored with it after a while.”At this time Charlie stopped working as a dominatrix after getting serious with her childhood sweetheart. She quickly became pregnant and now has a boy, aged 14, and a 13-year-old girl.

But after seven years their relationship collapsed and she left her home in Nottingham to study at Plymouth University for a hospitality degree. But after working in hotels and setting up a networking business, Charlie decided to join an escort agency. She said: “I really enjoyed sex and I felt picking up strange men in bars was seedy so I decided this was better. “Before long I had lots of regular clients so decided to set up on my own. But after two years I decided to try to help couples resolve their sex problems.”

Charlie, who fields calls from two mobiles during our chat, revealed both her divorced mum and dad, aged 64 and 74, and her kids approve of her work. “When I told my mum, her response was, ‘I knew it. There’s no way somebody can earn that much money fixing computers. “As long as you’re safe, it’s fine. I love my dad. When I told him, he said: ‘Well, will it stop my strawberries from growing next year?’ I said, ‘no.’ And he went, ‘well don’t worry about it then.’” Charlie claims her daughter “is rather proud” of her.“I told her about 18 months ago and the easiest way for me to explain it to her was in regards to my work with disabled people. Her exact words were, ‘Ah, that’s really nice of you.’” But would she want her own child getting involved in the sex industry? “She’s already decided she wants to be an interior designer and is into architecture.

“I’m strong enough to do this because you’ve got to split yourself into two. She’s not strong enough. I don’t think she’d want to.”She added: “My son turned around and said as long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”Charlie, who has a website www.sexualtraining.co.uk, insisted she enjoys work and wants to dispel the myth sex workers are dirty. “There’s just so much negativity in society with regards to people like me. "If you are forced into it they kind of give you this look of pity but for anybody who chooses to do it, we’re scrutinised even more. "It winds me up when I read about MPs and politicians stating that we’re the lowest of the low. “We’re not. I’ve got a degree with honours, I received a first in hospitality management and I had eight successful businesses. But I’ve only ever had unprotected sex with five people. People look down their noses when they know what I do for a living but they have probably had more unprotected sex than I have.

“I wouldn’t risk it, I don’t cross contaminate and everything is protected. I go to the clinic every month and they know exactly what I do for a living. “I’m fully screened and tested and I’ve just done a documentary with the BBC called Unsafe Sex in the City. That’s how committed I am about safe sex.”
