Justin Bieber's songs can apparently double as bear-repellant. A fisherman in Russia was being attacked by a brown bear, but when Justin Bieber's song “Baby” played, the bear fled, reports the Austrian Times. Igor Vorozhbitsyn had put the song as his cellphone ringtone as a joke, reports The Austrian Times. "I know that sort of ringtone isn't to everyone's taste but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke," he told the paper. Wildlife experts told the The Austrian Times that "a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks." Vorozhbitsyn was then rescued by a fellow fisherman. He suffered cuts and bruises to his face.

Top Five weird, funny and sizzling news of this week
An 87-year-old nudist running for county sheriff in Washington state says he's pretty "ferocious." But ask Dave Olinger's wife, Kay, and she'll tell you, "He watches too much Jon Stewart." Olinger called his local paper, the South Whidbey Record, when he decided to run as a write-in candidate for Island County sheriff. He would need at least 180 write-in votes in the primary, which was held Tuesday but won't be counted until a later date. Results will be confirmed Aug. 19. Olinger said he recently got a new pair of glasses and set of hearing aids, so he thought it was the "right time to give it a try."Standing with a rifle in hand and no shirt on, Olinger said he's "pretty ferocious" and was hoping to emulate a similar photo taken of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Olinger was a marksman in the Second World War and has a degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Why Swiss secretary tweeted nude workplace selfies?

ZURICH - A secretary who posted nude pictures of herself in the Swiss parliament to more than 11,000 followers on Twitter told a newspaper on Wednesday she did not believe she had broken any rules. Many of the "selfies" were taken in her office in the Federal Palace, a 162-year-old domed building in Berne where Switzerland's government and parliament meet, according to Swiss daily Neue Zuercher Zeitung (NZZ). The unidentified woman, a secretary at the parliament, told the paper that the pictures did not violate guidelines for federal employees because they were part of her private life. The report did not say why she had posted the pictures. A spokesman for the government's human resources department said he had only learned of the case from Wednesday's news report. "Parliamentary services will have to decide, based on the specific circumstances, whether this case breaches good faith obligations between employer and employee," Anand Jagtap said. When asked if she worried that her colleagues might see the pictures, she said: "The issue is on my mind constantly."

Where 'new Porn Academy' is opens?

QUEBEC CITY — A Quebec-based adult film Production Company that was having trouble recruiting male actors has opened an academy for budding porn stars. Pegas Productions is offering the intensive one-day training course for $149. Nicola Lafleur, a producer at Pegas, told QMI Agency that of 50 men who applied to take the course, only nine were admitted. "In their application they had to submit a picture of them with an erection," she said.  The workshop starts with a morning session on the ins and outs of the business. "Our goal," says Lafleur, "is to give them information that will allow them to know what it's really like to be a porn star. How much it pays, how often you work, how your health can be affected. We have to dispel all the myths." In the afternoon, an actor and an actress answer questions from the pupils and share their stories from the business. The actors then show them different sexual positions, and the students then have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with being on-set and with film equipment. "Students are allowed to try different sexual positions as well," says Lafleur, "but only simulations. We make them wear their underwear." Lafleur says the company got the idea for a class after a rookie actor who was working with them got a little "gun shy" on set. "He was nervous, and under a lot of pressure," Lafleur told QMI. "Perhaps if our course had been around he would have felt more comfortable." Lafleur believes this course to be a first in the adult film industry.
