Would you like real pepper spray with your pizza?
A deputy sheriff in California might get his just desserts in court Monday for allegedly seasoning a take-out pizza with a bizzare topping. According to the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Deputy Juan Tavera joined a fellow officer who had pulled over a 19-year-old man for a traffic violation last September. Tavera reportedly saw a pizza in the back seat and for unknown reasons gave it a blast of pepper spray when no one was looking.
After the teen went home, he shared the pizza with four friends and all five fell ill. He later reported his encounter with Tavera to authorities and the officer was charged with one misdemeanour count of assault or battery by a public officer. The Orange County district attorney's office says that if he is convicted, Tavera faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail.
How a Film shoot nearly turns deadly
A movie shoot in California nearly turned deadly when cops mistook a staged robbery for a real one. Cops in Glendora, just east of L.A., rushed to Classic Coffee Thursday morning after someone reported seeing two armed suspects in hoodies and masks enter the coffee shop. Officers went in and ordered the "suspects" to drop their weapons. One man complied, but cops said they nearly shot the other man in the process of disarming him. The cops determined that the weapons were realistic-looking replicas of a handgun and an AR-15 assault rifle.
Air plane hits cow on Indonesia runway
An Indonesian passenger plane hit a cow on the runway and skidded off the tarmac Tuesday night. None of the 110 passengers and crew on board the Lion Air Boeing 737-900 jet were injured, local reports said. The cow was crushed to death under the wheels. Pilot Iwan Permadi said he could smell "burning meat" when the plane struck the animal, Indonesian news agency Antara reported. Permadi said he thought at first that several dogs were wandering onto the runway, but it turned out to be three cows. The Gorontalo airport was temporarily closed following the crash.
Why Mom Bite Teen Daughter's Breast
A Florida woman is facing a felony rap after she allegedly bit her 16-year-old daughter’s breast during a dispute in the family’s Vero Beach home, cops report. According to investigators, Joy Young, 38, was quarreling with her offspring, Diamond LaCrystal Simmons, last month when the dispute turned violent. Simmons told police she was arguing with her mother “about Young trying to collect social security for Diamond’s new born baby.”
Simmons’s two-month-old was asleep on a bed while its mother and grandmother fought, according to an Indian River County Sheriff’s Office report. Simmons claimed that Young scratched her several times in the face, and then “bit her on the right breast in the nipple area, causing the skin to tear and also bleed.” A cop who responded to the family’s home reported that Simmons had visible scratches on her face and “also had a large blood stain on her shirt” from where she said her mother bit her. Young told police that she argued with her daughter because “she (Diamond) is never home and she (Young) always has to watch the baby.”
Charged with child abuse, Young was booked into the county jail, where she posed for the above mug shot. Now free on her own recognizance, she is scheduled for an August 20 arraignment in Circuit Court
Why Canadian Agents Had To Evaluate “Teen Mom” Porn
AUGUST 6--Canadian border security agents recently had to screen a DVD copy of the porn film starring MTV “Teen Mom” Farrah Abraham to determine whether the X-rated production was suitable for importation into the country. According to a report released today by the Canada Border Services Agency, representatives with the group’s Prohibited Importations Unit had to review “Farrah. Superstar Backdoor Teen Mom” at some point during this year’s second quarter. The video, featuring the 21-year-old Abraham and porn star James Deen, was deemed “admissible,” by border agents, who are charged with interdicting “material that is considered to be obscenity, treason, sedition or hate propaganda.”Border agents also had to view Hustler Video’s “Keeping It Up For The Kard-ASS-ians.” The video, first released in 2008, was also allowed into Canada. The production is Larry Flynt & Co’s takeoff on the E! reality program starring members of the execrable Kardashian family.
Only eight of the 62 DVDs reviewed by Canadian officials between April and June were prohibited from being imported into the country. The banned titles included “Unnatural Family, Triple Feature,” and “Living Sex Toy Delivery Vol. 3: The Captured Women.”Canadian officials also seized a copy of “Brazilian Amateur Kaviar,” which is the fourth in a fetish series whose title certainly does not refer to the luxury delicacy. Instead, the DVD reflects the aesthetic of the notorious “2 Girls, 1 Cup,” another product of Brazil’s film industry.
