Taco Bell's Facebook page features employee licking shells

Taco Bell lovers checking out the fast-food chain's official Facebook page Sunday were greeted with a photo of a young man licking a stack of shells. It's not clear whether the
saliva-coated shells were doled out to customers, but Taco Bell and the employee's Facebook friends believe they were trashed. "When we learned of the situation we immediately contacted this restaurant's leadership and although we believe it is a prank and the food was not served to customers, we are conducting a full-scale investigation and will be taking swift action against those involved," Taco Bell spokesman Rob Poetsch said. The young man tagged in the picture, Nicholas Kauffman of Ridgecrest, Calif., didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Commenters who claim to know Kauffman said he no longer works at Taco Bell and the shells were expired and headed for the garbage.

Try new Dunkin' D rolls out glazed donut, bacon and egg sandwich

In the latest trend of sandwiches gone rogue, Dunkin' Donuts has launched a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich that replaces buns with a glazed donut. Starting June 6, customers in the US will be able to tuck into the sweet and savory portable breakfast meal that consists of a fried egg and cherrywood-smoked bacon, sandwiched between the brand's signature glazed donut. And unlike other fast food novelty items that are offered for a limited time, the Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich will become a permanent menu item in the US. Though an unexpected flavor pairing, the donut sandwich is described as a light, fluffy, salty, sweet concoction that melds typical American breakfast foods into a single bite. Surprisingly, the product also clocks in at a modest 360 calories. For comparison, an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's, which is made of an egg, a slice of ham and processed cheese, is 300 calories. Dunkin' Donuts' morning sandwich is a direct riff on donut burgers, which have been trending in the US over the last few years

Why Businessmen drop pants in tax protest

ROME - Five Italian businessmen stripped off their trousers and protested outside parliament on Tuesday, demanding the abolition of a tax collection agency they blame for the suicides of scores of their peers. The men posed for the cameras in their shirts and underwear, carrying signs that read “You are killing thousands of jobs”. Their business lobby, Cobas Imprese, is one of two groups demanding a referendum to abolish Equitalia, an agency that collects back-taxes and fines. They accuse it of exacerbating the economic crisis by hounding the indebted owners of failing businesses. “In the past 18 months, 162 businessmen have committed suicide because they have ended up in the teeth of this agency,” Giuseppe Graziani, president of Cobas Imprese, told reporters. Italy’s economy, the euro zone’s third biggest, is mired in a recession that has been dragging on since mid-2011, driving up unemployment and forcing the closure of thousands of companies. No political parties have yet joined the referendum campaign, Graziani said, although former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, whose party belongs to the left-right coalition led by Enrico Letta, has previously called for the agency to be closed.

How Banning mannequins in bikinis to prevent rape?

In an effort to cut down on rape, Mumbai wants to ban scantily clad mannequins. The civic body passed a resolution to ban bikini-wearing mannequins in lingerie shops. The municipal commissioner has yet to approve it. Ritu Tawade, who proposed the ban, told the BBC that displaying sexy clothing "indirectly or directly leads to rape." Some shopkeepers welcomed the idea, while others expressed concern it would harm sales. Activist Arundhati Ghosh dismissed the proposal as "gimmicky and cheap." "The real issue is that men need to learn what consent means. It has very little to do with what women wear. Measures like implementation of sex education in schools are necessary to develop a sense of respect towards women at a young age. Stricter laws regarding harassment in the workplace and faster trials are what the government should be concentrating on," she told the Times of India. A series of brutal gang rapes have prompted Indians to demand stronger protections for women in recent months.

Israeli female soldiers pictured in underwear on Facebook are punished by bosses

These are the pictures of female soldiers baring more than their arms which led to them being disciplined by commanders in Israel. One of the images posted on Facebook shows the women wearing only combat helmets with ammo bags to protect their modesty. In another they are topless with backs to the camera and assault rifles slung across their buttocks. The group, with their faces blurred in the pictures which surfaced yesterday,

appeared to be in a barrack room. Israeli news site Walla said the young women were new recruits on a base in the country’s south. The military said they had all shown “unbecoming behaviour” for the Israeli services. It added: “The commanding officers disciplined the soldiers as they saw fitting. “Israel, with military service at 18, has been embarrassed several times by troops’ web posts. One humiliated a Palestinian woman prisoner.
