World's Top Five Weird, Funny and Hot News of this week-

Robber drank at pub he was robbing

CALGARY -- Stephen Charles Bridal was sentenced to three years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to robbing a Calgary pub. But unlike most such crimes, Bridal appeared in no hurry to get the job done or concerned about being identified. Crown prosecutor
Mike Ewenson said Bridal was captured on surveillance video committing the attempted heist last June 3 but also enjoying a beer before his crime. "He sits there and has a beer and interacts with bar patrons for a period of time without any attempt to obscure his identity," Ewenson said."To call this offence unsophisticated and odd is an understatement," he said.

Man spread feces on ex-wife's front door

SARNIA, Ont. -- A man who spread feces on his former wife's door and left frightening phone messages for her has been sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. Ricky James Knight, 57, of Sarnia, pleaded guilty to uttering death threats and violating a February court order to stay away from his ex's home. Court heard that on April 21, at 4:15 a.m., Knight went to the home, where he spread feces on the door and moved objects around outside the door including a propane tank.
During the same time frame Knight left multiple phone messages telling the woman unless she got off the property she would be done. “You can't behave that way," said Justice Deborah Austin said. Knight had no prior criminal record. Knight has already served the 10 days in pre-sentence custody. He was also handed one year's probation, during which he must stay away from the woman and her home while taking counselling. A 10-year weapons ban was imposed and Knight must give police a DNA sample.

Pastor creates 'boob job' rule for questions about adopted kids

Fed up with people asking him insensitive questions about his adopted daughter, a

pastor in the U.S. didn't get mad, he created a funny tutorial that he posted online. Billed as “a public service announcement from adoptive families everywhere,” Rev. Jesse Butterworth's YouTube video has been viewed more than 300,000 times. “Sometimes very well-meaning people will say some pretty insensitive things to adoptive families," Butterworth says on YouTube. "We can only assume that they're not trying to be mean, but instead lack the vocabulary to say what they're really asking. "So that's why we came up with this rule of thumb: If you wouldn't say it about a boob job, don't say it about an adoptive family."

How smog ruined marriage

BEIJING - A Beijing man is seeking to divorce his wife after she took their son to a tropical island province to escape the capital's notorious smog, saying the long-distance relationship had destroyed their marriage, state media said on Thursday. The man, identified only by his family name of Wang, married his wife in 2008 and had a son two years later, the Beijing Times reported, in a story widely picked up by other Chinese media outlets online, including Xinhua news agency. But their son developed serious health problems because of Beijing's air pollution and his wife took the son to the southern resort island of Hainan to escape the haze. However, Wang's wife did not like Hainan and nor did she like living apart from him, and whenever the two of them met they fought, the report said. Fed up with this, Wang has filed for divorce in a Beijing court, the newspaper said.

Smog 'buried' my son's health, and it has 'buried' my marriage," he was quoted as saying. The divorce case is pending with the court, the report added. It did not say what his wife thought of the divorce proposal. Years of unfettered economic growth have taken their toll on China's environment and pollution is a major source of public dissatisfaction and unrest, especially smog in major cities. The government has said tackling pollution is a top priority, but has made little impact on the smog that blights the lives of millions.

Med student auctioning virginity online finally reveals face

SYDNEY , April 30 (UPI) -- A medical school student who put her virginity up for auction on her website in March has revealed her face. The 28-year-old previously just had body shots with her face obscured by the fake name she is using, "Elizabeth Raine." The bidding for Raine’s virginity is up to $550,000 with the auction set to end on May 7. The person who places the winning bid will get the following: “The winning bidder will receive a 12-hour date with me, during the course of which he will be offered my virginity. I am sorry if I disappoint you, but all other pertinent (or salacious) details will remain private.” Raine, who grew up in Saudi Arabia, is auctioning her virginity for money, but also cites adventure, eroticism and scandal as reasons. “I find chastity itself erotically charged by mystery, desire and anticipation, and I anxiously await the discovery of new sensual experiences,” she wrote on her website. “Perhaps this will lead me into the arms of a gentleman with a similar appreciation for these unique circumstances, and make my first time worthy of both the wait and lasting memory.” The “date” with Raine will take place in Australia for legal reasons.
