Just how leggy can a woman get? Svetlana Pankratova, an assistant basketball coach living in Northern Virginia holds the Guinness World Record for the world's longest pair of women's legs -- they take up four feet four inches of her 6-foot-5 height. According to recent profile in the Falls Church News-Press, Pankratova, now 41, grew up

in Volgograd, Russia, where children in her class were always arranged by height. “It wasn’t easy because kids do tease you,” Pankratova said. “They tease whenever something is -- I wouldn’t say not normal -- but when something is different. So I would
get teased a lot for being tall.”Pankratova went on to play basketball at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she holds the record for most blocked shots in a career and the most blocked shots in a season. It wasn't until a friend pointed out that she might have a chance at a world record, that Pankratova contacted the organization about her lengthy gams. Guinness granted her the honor in 2008 and sent Pankratova on a media tour through the United States and London.Pankratova is now married and living in Falls Church, Va., where she helps coach George Mason High School's girls basketball team.

Top 4-E-mail exposes what teachers really think of students

JERUSALEM - Students at an Israeli high school were in an uproar on Monday after a teacher mistakenly sent them an internal e-mail that spelled out what faculty members really thought about them. “Not too bright”, “Liar”, “Tactless”, “Big Baby”, “Anti-social”, “Has a thing for boys” and “Sick-o” were some of the descriptions on an Excel spreadsheet that landed in students’ e-mail boxes. Protesting outside the Yitzhak Rabin High School in Kfar Saba, a town north of Tel Aviv, students pinned some of those descriptions on their shirts and demanded an apology, which its principal made. “We will draw conclusions about our behaviour and the way we express ourselves,” the principal, Ruth Lazar, was quoted as saying by the YNet news site. The list, which also contained praise for a number of students, was compiled by teachers as a guide to potential misbehaviour by the teens due to take part in a school visit to Holocaust sites in Poland, a trip that has become a rite of passage for many Israeli youngsters. One of the teachers inadvertently copied the list to students who signed up for the trip, the school said

Top 2-Boy, 8, weds 61-year-old woman

An eight-year-old South African boy married a 61-year-old mother of five in front of 100 guests, The Sun reports. The wedding was arranged reportedly because the youngster's ancestors requested it. Sanele Masilela's family spent around $2,000 on his wedding to Helen Shabangu but it's not legally binding because they didn't sign a marriage certificate. Shabangu, who's already married, and Masilela will not live together. The boy's mother, Patience, 46, said Masilela's grandfather asked him to tie the knot before he died. "By doing this we made the ancestors happy. If we hadn't something bad would have happened in the family," she said. Masilela said he's happy he married Shabangu, adding it won't be his last wedding. "When I'm older I will marry a lady my own age," the boy said. In photos, the couple is seen in typical wedding garb -- a white gown and grey suit -- as they exchange rings and share a chaste kiss.

Mother accused of trying to sell children on Facebook

An Oklahoma mother of two is accused of trying to sell her children on Facebook for $4,000 to bail her boyfriend out of jail — and she allegedly received an offer. Misty VanHorn, 22, was allegedly in contact with an Arkansas woman over Facebook about selling her two-year-old and 10-month-old for $4,000 or only the two-year-old for $1,000, the Seqouyah County Times reported. A police report stated VanHorn was trying to sell the children by March 4 to post bond for her boyfriend, the paper reported. It's alleged VanHorn told the Arkansas woman to "come to Sallisaw to get the child...and all her stuff." She allegedly told police she spoke to a friend about selling the children and mentioned the Arkansas woman.
